Privacy Policy

What this covers

This policy describes how Sassy Dog Enterprises LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information on this website, sassy-dog.com.

It does not cover our apps. Each product has its own privacy policy, published on that product’s own site:

What we collect

This site has no accounts, no login, no payments, and no form that submits anything. We never ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal detail. The only information we collect is website analytics:

  • Pages you view, including any query string in the address
  • Clicks and navigation within the site, recorded automatically — this captures the text and position of the thing you clicked, such as a product link or a case-study button
  • Which case study you opened, and whether you followed its call to action
  • Technical details your browser sends with every request: browser and operating system, screen size, referring page, and an approximate location derived from your IP address

We use this to understand which products people are interested in and which pages are worth improving. Nothing more.

You stay anonymous

Our analytics are configured so that visitors are never identified. No profile is built about you, and the data we see is not linked to a name, an email address, or any account — because the site has none to link it to.

We do not attempt to work out who you are, and we could not do so from what we collect.

What we store on your device

To tell a repeat visit apart from a new one, our analytics store a randomly generated identifier on your device — in a first-party cookie whose name begins with ph_phc_, and in a matching entry in your browser’s local storage. That identifier is a random string. It contains nothing about you.

We set no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies, and we do not follow you across other websites.

Who else receives this data

We use two service providers to run this site. Both process data on our behalf:

  • PostHog — our analytics provider, which stores the analytics described above on servers in the United States.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider, which serves the site and its images. Like any web host, its servers record standard request logs, including IP addresses.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone else.

Your choices

You can opt out at any time, and we would rather tell you exactly how than point you at a preference centre we do not run:

  • Clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser removes the stored identifier. Your next visit simply looks like a new one.
  • Blocking cookies for this site, or using your browser’s private or tracking-protection mode, prevents the identifier being stored at all.
  • A content blocker that blocks analytics scripts stops the collection entirely. The site is built to work normally without them.

If you would like us to delete analytics data associated with your visits, write to us at the address below. Because the data is anonymous, we may need you to supply the stored identifier so we can find it.

Children

This website is a business site aimed at a general audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles data, we will revise this page and move the “Last Updated” date above. That date is checked against the content of this page automatically, so it cannot quietly fall out of step with what the policy says.
